Meshly: STL Viewer

Need to look at an STL before you print it? Meshly opens STL, OBJ and 3MF files on your iPhone, shows the model's real dimensions and tells you whether it fits your printer's bed.

Open a model from the Files app — or tap "Open in Meshly" from another app — and spin, pan and zoom it in 3D. The size readout and bed check appear right under the model.

• STL, OBJ AND 3MF — binary and ASCII STL, OBJ and 3MF models, up to 80 MB and 500,000 triangles. • REAL-WORLD DIMENSIONS — width (X), depth (Y) and height (Z) in millimeters, plus the triangle count, with a bounding box drawn around the model. • PRINT-BED FIT — pick from five common 3D-printer bed sizes (180 to 256 mm) and see at a glance whether the model fits as-is, fits if rotated 90°, or is too large. • 3D VIEWER — rotate with one finger, zoom with a pinch and pan with two fingers. • SHARE THE FILE — send the model on to your slicer, AirDrop it or save it to Files.

Dimensions are read from the file as millimeters, the usual unit for 3D-print files; models saved in other units will show different numbers. Meshly is a viewer — it doesn't edit or slice models.

Everything is processed on your device; your models are never uploaded.
