Metro Sound is a practice companion for musicians who work from a lesson book.

Import the practice tracks that came with your book, organize them into exercises, and get the tools you actually reach for while practicing — an overlay metronome, a tuner, sheet photos, and a recorder — in one focused place.

TRACK PLAYER • Import audio from Files, iCloud Drive, or anywhere your device can reach. Files are copied into the app, so deleting the original won't break your library. • Numbered filenames become ordered, titled exercises automatically. • Waveform, adjustable playback speed for slowing down hard passages, and progress you can mark as you go.

OVERLAY METRONOME • A click that runs over the playing track as a separate audio stream, with its own volume and mute — so either the music or the click can lead. • Tap tempo, a tempo dial, and time signatures with an accented downbeat. • A swinging pendulum you can watch instead of hear. • Tempo and time signature are remembered per exercise. • A full metronome screen for tempo work without a track.

TUNER • Microphone-based pitch detection, live and entirely on your device. • Letter or solfège note names. • Persian quarter-tones (koron and sori) alongside standard chromatic tuning.

SHEET PHOTOS • Attach photos of the printed exercise to any track and read the notation while the audio plays.

PRACTICE RECORDINGS • Record your own takes next to the lesson track and keep them with the exercise they belong to.

SHARE A WHOLE BOOK • Export a book — or your entire library — as a single package and send it to a student, a teacher, or your other device. • Imports show a preview of what's inside, and merge into an existing book or arrive as a new one.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT • No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads. • Your library, recordings, and photos live on your device. Nothing leaves it unless you share it. • The tuner's audio is analyzed on-device and is never saved or transmitted.

LIGHT AND DARK A studio-dark look by default, a clean light theme when you want it, or follow the system automatically.
