Jaxen Edge transforms ski rentals from guesswork into precision. Before every trip, you face the same puzzle: which skis feel right, what binding setting keeps you safe, and how will this setup actually perform on the mountain? This app answers those questions by walking you through your measurements, calculating your ideal gear setup, and letting you reserve the exact equipment you need from your rental shop.

Your journey starts with the Rider Profile. Enter your height, weight, and age in the Rider Fit Card, then tap Open Fit Bench. The app's fit engine runs your numbers through its sizing algorithms to recommend ski length, boot DIN, and flex profile tailored to your body and ability. These recommendations anchor everything that follows—they are your personal spec sheet for the trip. Your preferences persist in Settings, so future trips start with a single tap.

Once you have your baseline specs, browse available gear using the Search and Rack screens. Fresh on the Wall highlights new equipment your shop just received, but you can search by ski length, style, or terrain preference to narrow options. When you find a ski that interests you, open Ski Detail to inspect it: the app displays the sole length, accesses the ski's profile using skiById, and shows you exactly how this piece fits within your recommended range. Every measurement is calculated from real data.

The Boot Din Editor is where binding settings come to life. Select your boots, and the app calculates your binding DIN number using recommendDin based on your weight, ability, and the specific boot's characteristics. This single feature eliminates the most common rental mistake: overtightening or undertightening bindings. You see your recommended DIN, you understand why it matters, and you rent with confidence.

Most setups become meaningful only when you use them. Select a pair of skis, then use the Ride Preview feature to model how they will feel. Choose your Style (aggressive to relaxed), your Terrain (groomed to off-piste), your riding ability, and the app produces a rideFeel score. This is the setup intelligence most rental shops do not offer. You can rotate through several skis this way, comparing not just specs but the emotional truth of how each one rides.

The Compare screen takes this further. Build Setup A and Setup B, filling each with different boots, skis, and binding choices. Side by side, you see how one configuration compares to another. Choose A or Choose B to visualize which setup suits your trip better. Many renters assemble multiple setups before arriving—one for powder, one for groomers. Save those configurations in Saved Setups so you do not rebuild them every time.

Apply Promo codes to sweeten your rental. The Promo screen lets you enter discount codes to spend your points and Redeem credits against your rental cost. The app tracks your point balance and applies credits at reservation time.

When you are ready to confirm, tap Reserve on your chosen setup. The Reserve Pickup screen lets you choose your Pickup Point (which Jaxen Edge location), your Pickup Day, and your Time Slot from real availability windows. Once reserved, visit Reservation Status to view your confirmation, check your rental details, and Message the Shop if questions arise before you pick up.
