Features & Capabilities

Now covering the whole GTA: hazards, closures, deals, events & playgrounds — live on one map, reported by neighbours. Free, no ads, no account needed to browse.

CivicBulletin is a real-time, map-first community reporting app covering the entire Greater Toronto Area. Neighbours report what's happening nearby — right now — and everyone around them sees it live on one map, confirmed and kept current by the community itself.

WHAT'S LIVE ON THE MAP

• Hazard — road hazards, downed trees, anything unsafe • Construction — roadwork, lane closures, detours • Event — pop-ups, markets, community gatherings • Deal — local offers and promotions from nearby businesses • Playground — condition, crowd level, and amenities • Local Buzz — anything else worth knowing about your block

Three more categories fill in automatically, even before anyone's reported anything: live road-closure data, York Region and Toronto Police open safety data, and nearby restaurants and indoor playgrounds pulled from open map data — including real-time open/closed status.

BUILT ON TRUST, NOT JUST POSTS

Every report can be confirmed or flagged by people nearby, and a report that gets clearly outvoted quietly disappears — no manual moderation queue, no waiting. Like a post to show it's useful. Post authors can pin the single most helpful comment to the top of the thread. Report and block tools keep the community clean.

REPORT IN SECONDS

Pick a category, add a title and an optional photo — snap it right there in the app — set how long it should stay live, and it's on the map instantly for everyone nearby. Playground, Event, and Deal pins support a proximity-verified claim for points.

NEVER MISS WHAT'S NEARBY

Turn on notifications and get pinged whenever anyone posts near you — any category, not just hazards — so you find out about a closed road or a pop-up market the moment your neighbours do.

WHERE IT WORKS

CivicBulletin covers the whole Greater Toronto Area: Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Scarborough, North York, and everywhere between.

FREE, WITH NO CATCH

Browsing the live map and feed is completely free, with no account required and no ads. Create a free account only when you want to post, save, vote, or comment.

Your privacy matters: your location is only ever used to center and show nearby reports. CivicBulletin never publishes who checked in where.
