General chemistry, game style
New in 1.2: the whole Chem 1A + 1B course, actually written out. 21 chapters, 213 worked examples, 274 questions — read a chapter, then drill it. No ads, offline.
Chain Reaction is a full general-chemistry course and a fast arcade quiz in one app. Read the chapter, then race the clock on what you just read.
A COMPLETE WRITTEN COURSE
Twenty-one chapters, one per topic, covering the whole Chem 1A + 1B sequence from measurement through organic chemistry. These are not flashcard summaries. The course runs to roughly 143,000 words — about twelve hours of reading — with 213 worked examples that carry real numbers all the way to an answer, and 152 reference tables holding the material chemistry actually requires you to have in front of you: the polyatomic ions, the solubility rules, the strong acids and bases, standard reduction potentials, VSEPR geometries, the functional groups, the decay modes.
EVERY NUMBER CHECKED
Each worked example was computed and then independently recomputed. Every reference table was verified against standard tabulated values — every Ksp exponent, every formation constant, every half-life, every standard potential.
READ A CHAPTER, THEN DRILL IT
Every chapter ends with a button that starts a timed run using only that chapter's questions. Chapter practice never touches your Quick Play high score, so you can hammer a weak topic without spoiling a good run.
BEAT THE CLOCK
Quick Play is an endless blitz across all 21 topics: three lives, rising levels, and a combo multiplier that rewards streaks. Every question is timed, and every miss is followed by the correct answer and a short explanation, so getting one wrong still teaches you something.
TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY-FOUR QUESTIONS
Twelve to fourteen per topic, mixing recall, concept, calculation, trend-reading and spot-the-error. Answer choices reshuffle every time, so nothing can be memorized by position. Wrong answers are built from the mistakes students actually make — the dropped coefficient, the un-converted unit, the reciprocal, the unsquared concentration, pH confused with pOH.
TWENTY-ONE TOPICS
Measurement · Atoms & Ions · Electrons & Orbitals · Periodic Trends · Bonding · Lewis Structures & VSEPR · Nomenclature · The Mole & Stoichiometry · Reactions & Equations · Aqueous Solutions · Gases · Thermochemistry · Kinetics · Equilibrium · Acids, Bases & Buffers · Intermolecular Forces & States · Thermodynamics · Electrochemistry · Solubility Equilibria · Nuclear Chemistry · Organic & Biomolecules
WRITTEN FOR MED AND PRE-MED
Every chapter carries a clinical-relevance note — 78 in all. Blood buffering and acid-base disorders, drug ionization and absorption, the Nernst equation behind a resting membrane potential, radioisotopes in imaging, why ice floats and what that has to do with a cell. The chemistry is standard; the examples are the ones a health-science student meets again later.
