gtmux

Follow the coding agents on your Mac from your phone. When one stops for you, you get a notification and can reply. HQ can watch the rest and act within what you allow.

gtmux puts the coding agents running in tmux on your Mac onto your phone: Claude, Codex, any other agent that lives in a terminal, and the plain shells next to them. Install gtmux on the Mac, pair the phone once, and you can see what they are doing from anywhere.

What you see A live list of every tmux pane and every agent, coloured by what it is doing. Red means one is waiting for you, cyan means it is working, green means it finished and is sitting idle, grey is a plain process with no agent in it. One look tells you who to go to. An agent gtmux cannot talk to directly still appears, recognised from what is on its screen.

What you can do Answer a question, or send a command to a terminal, from the phone. When an agent offers numbered choices, they arrive as buttons. Pull a session into focus on the Mac. Typing into a pane works only with the pairing token you set up, so reading and typing are two different permissions.

HQ HQ is the supervisor gtmux runs alongside your agents. It watches all of them, tells you what changed while you were away, and acts on its own only inside the scope you have given it. Everything it did is written down in the order it did it, so you can read back over a morning you missed.

How it works The app is one way into gtmux, which is free, open source, and runs on your Mac. The others are your terminal, the menu bar, a browser, and gtmux attach from another computer. Install the Mac side first; on its own the app has nothing to show. There is a two-minute setup guide at ccy.dev/projects/gtmux.

The phone reaches your Mac through a tunnel gtmux sets up for you, so there is no VPN to configure. On a network that blocks it, gtmux can connect over your own network instead. Your agents keep running on the Mac and never run on the phone.

Privacy gtmux collects no data. There is no account. Your sessions and your token stay on your device and your Mac.
