TagCraft: Voice NFC Labels

Stick an NFC tag on a package, record in your own voice what it is, and from then on just hold your iPhone near it to hear it.

Which one is the salt and which is the pepper? Which detergent is for clothes and which for the floor? Which box holds the morning medication?

TagCraft gives a voice to the things you cannot tell apart by touch.

HOW IT WORKS

You stick an adhesive NFC tag on the package. You record, in your own voice, what it is. From then on, you simply hold your iPhone near the tag and hear it.

Simple, fast, and it requires no sight at all.

BUILT FOR VOICEOVER

TagCraft was designed from the ground up for people with vision loss, by a developer who uses VoiceOver himself every day. Every button, every flow and every announcement was tested in real use.

Recording works by pressing and holding, so VoiceOver stays silent and your audio comes out clean, without the system voice in it.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Single scan for one specific object
• Continuous scan: move the phone from package to package and hear them one after another, without tapping anything
• Scan without even opening the app: touch the tag and activate the notification
• Magic Tap: double tap with two fingers to repeat the last read
• Categories and search, to find your way through dozens of tags
• Several tags for one record: two identical bottles, one recording

IT RESPECTS THE TAGS YOU ALREADY HAVE

If you already use tags with another app, TagCraft can adopt them without changing them. It recognises them by their serial number and their content stays untouched.

SYNC AND SHARING

Everything syncs automatically with your own iCloud — records and recordings alike. Change your phone and you will find it all there.

You can also send your records to someone else who has TagCraft, even with a different Apple ID. Useful for a family: one person prepares the tags once, and they work on the other person's device too.

PRIVACY

No recording ever leaves your device and your iCloud. There is no server of ours, no advertising, and no tracking whatsoever.

WHAT YOU NEED

Adhesive NFC tags of the NTAG family (NTAG213 is enough). For metal packaging, such as tins and metal lids, special "on-metal" tags are required. The in-app manual explains it all in detail.
