STROKE ORDER AND PRONUNCIATION, TO THE OFFICIAL STANDARD · Every character taught in handwriting mode is checked one by one against the Hong Kong Education Bureau's Lexical Items with English Explanations for Fundamental Chinese Learning. Characters we cannot verify are simply not taught — better to teach nothing than to teach it wrong. · Hong Kong school typeface (Free HK Kai), matching classroom materials. · Every character shows its Jyutping with tone number. Cantonese has six tones, and written romanisation is how a parent can actually check. Polyphonic characters use the Bureau's own recorded reading.
