Features & Capabilities

Write your own rules. Once a day, look back and mark honestly whether you kept them. No notifications, no nagging — just a moment of review, and streaks that stay honest.

Kantetsu is a quiet daily check-in on the commitments you set for yourself.

You write your own rules — in your own words, for your own reasons. Once a day, you look back at yesterday and mark honestly whether you kept them. That's the whole loop. No notifications through the day. No nagging. No streaks-as-slot-machine. Just a moment of review, and then you get on with your life.

REVIEW, DON'T TRACK LIVE

Most habit apps ask how today is going. Kantetsu asks how yesterday went. The lag is the point: you're not ticking things off as you go, you're sitting down once and being honest about a day that's already finished. It takes less than a minute.

STREAKS THAT STAY HONEST

Kantetsu is strict, on purpose. A kept run counts consecutive scheduled days — miss a day you were due, and the thread breaks. Many trackers are forgiving by design. This one isn't, because a streak that forgives you isn't telling you anything.

The maths is protected, too. Once a rule has been logged, its schedule locks going forward, so you can never retroactively rewrite what counted. Fix a typo in the title any time you like — the history stays true.

RULES ON YOUR SCHEDULE

Every rule can run daily, or only on the days you choose. Exercise on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. No phone in bed, every night. Rest days aren't misses — if a rule wasn't scheduled, it simply wasn't due.

A CALENDAR YOU CAN READ

Every day at a glance: kept, broken, or incomplete. Filter to a single rule to see how you've held one specific commitment over weeks and months. Today stays blank until you actually log it — it isn't counted against you, it just hasn't been reviewed yet.

A FEW WORDS ON THE DAY

Each day takes one short reflection — capped deliberately short. Not a journal you'll abandon. A margin note you'll actually reread months later, sitting next to the day it belongs to.

SEE HOW IT CHANGES

Per-rule 30-day and all-time kept rates. Weekly trends. An overall chart of what fraction of your rules you kept each day, with a weekly average over the top, so you can see whether you're improving or slipping. Archived rules keep their history — retire a rule and still look back at how you did.

YOURS, AND ONLY YOURS

Kantetsu works entirely on your device. An optional account adds sync across iPhone, iPad, and Mac if you want it — your choice, your control, one direction at a time.

No ads. Not now, not later. Kantetsu is a tool for solving a problem, not a surface for selling you things.

貫徹 — kantetsu — means resolve carried through to the end.
