Amud

Amud tells you what to daven today, and when. It says what is different about today's tefillah: what to add, what to skip, what to say differently, in the order you daven it. Each item is marked SAY, SKIP or ADD, in plain English with the Hebrew beside it. No shul knowledge assumed, and it works offline. WHAT IS DIFFERENT TODAY Over fifty things a year, each raised on the day it matters: Tachanun, Tzidkascha, Hallel full or half, Ya'aleh V'yavo, Al HaNisim, Mashiv HaRuach and Morid HaTal, V'sein Tal U'Matar with the exact changeover night, Sefiras HaOmer, Selichos, Avinu Malkeinu, fasts and Aneinu, Yizkor, Shabbos Mevorchim with the molad, Kiddush Levana, Eruv Tavshilin and Tisha B'Av. The parsha shows every day. ZMANIM FOR WHERE YOU ARE Every row leads with what you DO, the zman's name beside it: earliest tallis and tefillin, last Krias Shema, last Shacharis, Mincha, earliest Maariv, shkia, nacht, last Maariv, candles, fast start and end, the end of Shabbos and Rabbeinu Tam. Times follow your position; Alos, Misheyakir and Plag each have a choice of shitah. A PRIVATE TAHARAH CALENDAR Off by default, behind one quiet row in Settings. Turn it on and a private card keeps the whole halachic cycle: the expected dates each month and when to separate, the hefsek taharah with its exact time window, the seven clean days with morning and afternoon ticks, and the mikvah night with a full preparation checklist. Record a flow by date, time and city and the app works out the halachic day and onah itself. Reminders for every step, an expecting mode, after-birth tracking, a kallah's first-time halachos, paste-in history from a paper calendar, and a printable 12-month record for a doctor or a rav. Anything with a machlokes says ask your rav. A tap hides the card instantly, it never appears on any shared screen or printed sheet, and everything stays on your phone. WAITING BETWEEN MEAT AND DAIRY Press it when you finish eating and Amud counts the wait, on the day's ring and the Lock Screen. Six hours, five and a half, five and a minute into the sixth, three, one, or your own, each naming its posek. Clock hours, so a flight cannot move it. SIMCHAS AND YAHRZEITS Hebrew birthdays, bar and bas mitzvah with its parsha, anniversaries and yahrzeits, from the ordinary date you know - or paste in a whole list at once. Kept on your phone. THE CHOILIM LIST Names to daven for, behind a heart at the top. Each name appears exactly as you type it, Hebrew or English, and the Yehi Ratzon after Tehillim is worded around your names, with English letters for anyone who cannot read Hebrew. Off by default.
