Nate the Bait is a portrait pixel arcade game about one worm dropped into an endless ocean where every fish sees dinner.

Easy to pick up. Hard to put down. Hold anywhere on the screen and drag to steer. Upward movement is deliberately slower than the dive. The ocean accelerates as you go deeper. Ride the currents, dodge predators, and push your run further into the abyss.

The deeper you go, the richer it gets. Survive through sunlit, blue, twilight, and abyssal zones. Every 500 meters brings a quiet depth marker, a slightly faster pace, and denser pixel atmosphere. Layered currents push Nate, fish, bubbles, and microbes at different strengths — so the water always feels alive.

Grow longer. Become a bigger target. Collect glowing microbacteria to extend Nate one pixel chunk at a time. The longer body follows your touch trail and squirms through turns — more reward, more risk. Extra length converts into persistent pearls at the end of each run.

Every catch counts. The fish that takes the bait becomes your catch, worth pearls based on species and depth. Deeper catches unlock gleam, prismatic, and abyssal skins with bigger rewards. Review your full catch log anytime from the home screen.
