Skry reads the clouds above you.

Point your iPhone at the sky and take a photo. Skry measures that photo on your device — how much of the frame is sky, how much of it is cloud, how sharp the edges are, how the light falls from top to bottom — and from those measurements it names the cloud genus and traces the outline of the largest cloud back onto your picture. Then it writes you a reading.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

Most apps of this kind will tell you anything. Skry will not. If your sky is an even grey sheet with no shape in it, Skry says so and writes a reading about a covered sky — it does not draw a swan that isn't there. If your photo is mostly ground, water or a person, Skry declines to read it and tells you what it measured. The outline you see drawn on your photo is your cloud's real boundary, not decoration.

YOUR PHOTO NEVER LEAVES YOUR PHONE

There is no account and no sign-in. Analysis happens entirely on your iPhone. When Skry uses a language model to write the wording, it sends only the measured numbers and, at most, a 64×64 one-bit silhouette of the cloud outline — 512 bytes, no landscape, no faces, no location. Your photograph itself is never uploaded. If you would rather have everything written on the device, one switch in Settings turns the online path off and nothing is lost.

Skry does not ask for your location. Season is read from your device region setting, and you can correct it yourself.
