Keep sensitive contacts separate from your everyday address book. Details stay masked until you choose to reveal them. No account, ads, analytics, or cloud sync.

Some contacts need more privacy than an everyday address book can offer. Hidden Room gives you a separate encrypted place on your iPhone for sensitive personal and professional contacts.

It is designed for journalists, advocates, social workers, executives, travelers, people who share a device, and anyone who wants an extra layer of discretion.

How it works

• Add contacts manually. Hidden Room never imports from iPhone Contacts. • Names are partially masked. Hold a field to reveal it, then release to hide it. • Phone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, websites, and messaging IDs stay hidden until needed. • The vault locks when you leave the app and after the inactivity period you choose. • Face ID and a shuffled passcode keypad are optional. • Screen recording hides revealed details, and screenshots lock the app.

Sharing is off when you start. Turning it on requires confirmation. You can then copy a detail or open a compatible app. Hidden Room asks before opening another app and locks first. Copied values use this iPhone's local clipboard, expire within 30 seconds, and clear when Hidden Room locks.

You control deletion

Emergency Erase requires a deliberate final hold. It permanently deletes every contact and resets the app.

Automatic Contact Deletion can perform the same reset after 1 day, 3 days, 1 month, or 1 year without a successful unlock. When the selected time is reached, Hidden Room resets the next time it opens, before the passcode or Face ID screen.

Erase After Wrong Passcodes can reset the app after 5, 10, or 20 failed attempts. Both automatic deletion options are off by default and warn you before you enable them.

Privacy in plain language

Hidden Room has no account, ads, analytics, tracking, cloud sync, or third-party SDKs. Vault data is encrypted, stored locally, and excluded from backups. The developer cannot see or recover your contacts or passcode.

Important: Hidden Room adds privacy, but it cannot make an iPhone anonymous or guarantee safety. Anything copied or opened outside Hidden Room may remain in calls, messages, email, websites, notifications, histories, backups, other apps, cloud services, or recipient devices. There is no passcode recovery or cloud backup. Read the Privacy & Safety Tips before using destructive settings in a high-risk situation.

Support development

Hidden Room is free to use. Optional one-time tips can support continued development and maintenance. Tips do not unlock features, start a subscription, or represent a charitable donation. Apple processes all purchases through the App Store.
