Stats, analysis, photos, notes
A quiet journal for every hike — routes, stats, photos, and your own words. Import from Apple Health; your first entry starts at the trailhead.
Every hike has a story — the early start, the weather that turned, the view that made it worth it. Waymark keeps them.
Waymark is a hiking journal for iPhone. It gathers your hikes into one timeline — routes, stats, photos, and your own words, kept together on warm, paper-like pages that read more like a field journal than a fitness dashboard.
=== A journal, not a scoreboard ===
Each entry holds what mattered: a name (Waymark suggests one from the trails and parks you passed), your notes, a star rating, a bookmark for the ones worth returning to, and photos matched from your library to the hours you were out. The numbers are there too — distance, elevation gain, duration, energy, heart rate — set precisely and left to speak for themselves.
=== Bring in every hike ===
Apple Health: import workouts recorded with Apple Watch or other apps, with route, heart rate, and energy along for the ride.
GPX and FIT files: bring hikes from a Garmin, an export, or any other recorder. Heart rate and calories come through when the file carries them.
Manual entries: no recording that day? Write it down anyway.
Waymark also tidies what it imports. Routes are cleaned of GPS noise, the drive to the trailhead is trimmed away automatically, and you can trim further yourself — the original recording is always kept intact.
=== See the hike again ===
Every entry opens on a map of your route, colored by pace so the grinds and the cruises show at a glance. Below it, an elevation chart traces the day, with your rest stops marked right where they happened. Scrub along the chart and follow yourself across the map.
Multi-day adventure? Group hikes into a trip and see the whole route, and the whole effort, in one place.
=== Worth showing off ===
Share cards turn a hike into something you would actually want to send: your best photo, the route, and the stats you choose, composed in three styles — Flush, Forest, and Paper. Save them to Photos and share anywhere.
=== Waymark Pro ===
A Pro membership is the full journal:
Every hike you have ever recorded, from your first.
Elevation profiles, heart-rate zones on the map, rest and effort — for every hike.
Your photos, placed on the map and along the day's timeline.
Return to a trail and see how it went last time.
Hikes keep their insights, even if your membership ends.
=== Built by one person ===
Waymark is independent. There are no ads and no accounts to create — your hikes live on your device and in your own iCloud account, and they stay yours.
Your first entry starts at the trailhead.
