Ever dropped an earbud between the couch cushions or left your headphones somewhere in the house? TrackBuds turns your iPhone into a device radar. It scans for nearby Bluetooth devices and shows how close you are with a live signal-strength meter, so you can walk toward the signal until you find it.

HOW IT WORKS • Scan: TrackBuds detects Bluetooth devices around you and lists them instantly • Track: pick a device and follow the proximity indicator; it grows stronger as you get closer • Found it: save the spot on the map so you always know where your devices turn up

TrackBuds needs Bluetooth to scan for devices and uses your location only to save where you found them.

Note: a device must be powered on, emitting a Bluetooth signal, and within range (about 10 meters indoors) to be detectable.
