Twitcher Species Log & Diary
Log a bird in seconds and watch your life list grow. Every sighting mapped, every year list tallied - 100% private, offline and yours. No account, no adverts.
Bird Life List is your personal birdwatching life list — a private, offline log of every bird you have ever seen.
Log a sighting in seconds. Watch your life list grow. Keep every lifer, photo, field note and map pin on your own device, forever.
IMPORTANT: Bird Life List is a paid app. A subscription or a one-off Lifetime purchase is required to use it. There is no free version and no adverts.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• LOG A SIGHTING IN SECONDS
Pick the species from a built-in checklist of 250+ birds, then add the date, how many you saw, the habitat, a photo and your field notes. No typing species names. No wrong spellings.
• BUILD YOUR LIFE LIST
Every new species is added to your life list automatically and numbered in the order you first saw it. Duplicates are collapsed for you — one row per species, with the date of your lifer.
• MAP EVERY SIGHTING
Tap once to attach coordinates while you are standing there. Every bird becomes a pin on your own private sightings map, so you always remember exactly where you found it.
• TRACK YOUR YEAR LIST AND STATS
Life total, year list, month list, birding day streak, top families, best birding day and your most-visited locations — all worked out for you as you log.
• BROWSE THE SPECIES CHECKLIST
See at a glance which birds you have found and which are still to find. Filter by region: North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, South America, Australasia.
• EXPORT ANY TIME
Your data is yours. Export your whole life list to CSV and open it in Numbers, Excel or any other app.
PRIVATE AND OFFLINE, BY DESIGN
No account. No sign-up. No server. No analytics. No tracking. No adverts.
Your sightings, photos, coordinates and notes never leave your iPhone or iPad. We cannot see them, because they are never uploaded. Location is only requested when you tap "Use Current Location" while logging a sighting — and it is completely optional.
Bird Life List works with no internet connection.
A RECORD, NOT A NETWORK
Bird Life List is a personal record-keeping tool for birdwatching. It is not a bird identification app — it does not identify birds from photos or sound. It does not report your sightings to any database, and it has no community feed or rare-bird alerts. It is a quiet, private life list that belongs to you.
PERFECT FOR
Beginner birders starting a first life list · Birdwatchers moving off paper notebooks · Twitchers chasing a big-year target · Patch birders with a favourite local site · Garden and feeder watchers · Birders who travel and want a trip list
