Fan Balance: Vibration

Set your phone near the fan, measure vibration, then test blade by blade to find the wobble and where a balancing clip should go.

▶ Stop the wobble. A shaking ceiling fan almost always means one blade is off — this app measures the vibration so you can track it down instead of guessing.

▶ Measure with the sensor in your phone. Rest the phone on a step or ledge near the fan and watch a live vibration reading rise and fall as the fan runs at each speed.

▶ Test blade by blade. The guided mode walks you through clipping a weight to each blade in turn and re-measuring, then points to the blade and position that give the smoothest run.

▶ Read a clear before-and-after. A simple report shows how much calmer the fan got, so you know the fix worked.

This is a relative comparison tool that reads your phone's motion sensor, not a calibrated instrument. Always turn off and secure the fan before touching the blades, and follow the fan maker's instructions.
