Leap of Faith is a one-thumb parkour chase across a living Renaissance city — an endless runner where the lanes are depth.

THE LANES ARE DEPTH Three planes of city slide past each other in deep parallax: sun-washed rooftops, crowded streets, shaded arcades. Swipe to dive between them, tap to vault what's in front of you, hold to melt into a crowd while the guards stream past one plane away, push forward to burst. It reads in a single glance and takes a hundred runs to master.

THE CHASE This city does not want you on its rooftops. The pursuit builds as you run — guards vault behind you, cut ahead a plane away, and force the swaps you would never choose. Misjudge a gap and a hay cart catches you; the chase goes on. Runs last 90 seconds to 4 minutes: short enough for anywhere, sharp enough to spike your pulse.

LEAP NOW, OR RUN ON Every landmark gate is a wager: bank the run with a leap of faith, or run on toward a grander landmark with the guards closing in. Tap inside the golden ring for a Perfect leap.

THE LEAP Every run ends only one way: a slow-motion leap of faith from a landmark you've never reached before, turned into a stamp card and a video clip ready to share in one tap. The game-over screen is the best moment of the run.

A CITY WITH A STORY Your first leap from each landmark opens a story vignette and carries a courier's letter into the Chronicle. Six landmarks, four districts from a dawn market to a carnival night, and townsfolk whose stories grow each time you hide among them.

• The Daily Route: the same run for everyone each day, with its own board — plus an all-time Best Run leaderboard on Game Center.
• Challenge links: share a Daily Route leap and your friends open straight into that route to beat you.
• The Chronicle: a Season I track of 30 tiers you climb by the metres you leap.
• The wardrobe: hoods and scarves that recolour your runner, leap poses that change the dive, clip frames and seals that dress every share.

ANIME-GRADE MOTION Cel-shaded, animation-first, and constantly moving. If it isn't moving beautifully, it isn't in the game.
