WALKS, PROPERLY RECORDED Start a walkout and Dotty maps the route, distance, duration and pace, with a Live Activity on your Lock Screen while you're out. Set your home location and it can start recording by itself when you leave on foot, then finish when you're back.

CONDITIONS, WITHOUT TYPING Every walkout records the weather it happened in — temperature, feels-like, humidity, wind, rain, pressure and daylight — through Apple's WeatherKit. No forms, no taps, nothing to remember.

TEN SECONDS AFTERWARDS Rate the walk and tap what happened. Then three one-tap questions: how rested your dog was, their energy level, and when they last ate. Tally the dogs, people and children you met.

WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG Log a growl, a lunge, an air snap, a nip or a bite against the walkout it happened on. Record how far it went on a five-level scale, who it was directed at, what set it off, and the warning signs you saw — or didn't see. Every event is attributed to a specific dog, so a multi-dog household doesn't end up with one blurred history.

PATTERNS Dotty reads it back as the share of walkouts that had an event, broken down by temperature, time of day, rest, energy, meals, dogs met, rain and daylight — ranked by how much the rate actually moves. Groups with too few walkouts behind them are marked as such, because a 100% rate off two walks is not a finding.
