The spark for Beer Notebook came during a road trip through Alaska. Amidst rugged glaciers and snow-capped peaks, I was amazed by the local craft beer scene—from piney spruce IPAs and glacier-water pilsners to warming imperial stouts. Sitting at taproom bars, listening to passionate brewers share the stories and precise specs behind each pour, I realized these unique tasting moments were too special to fade from memory.
