It’s goated for learning phrases

I downloaded this app expecting to learn Spanish. Instead I learned that my grasp of English grammar was always held together with duct tape and vibes. Silver lining: humiliation is apparently multilingual. The lessons are bite-sized which is a cute way of saying you’ll get a dopamine hit for correctly translating “the duck drinks water” and then be emotionally unprepared for the subjunctive mood three lessons later. Nothing like going from “hello, my name is” to sentence structures that make you question your own free will. The streak feature is a masterpiece of psychological warfare. I have missed birthdays with less guilt than I feel about missing my daily lesson.
