JEWELRY, MOSTLY — THE STRANGE KIND • Talismans instead of trends: Evil Eye, Hamsa, Tree of Life. Most pages close with a stone-by-stone key naming the qualities the maker assigns to each stone and symbol. • A small run of scripture pendants set with a 5mm chip the maker states holds a whole text — the Arabic Quran, the Hebrew Bible, the KJV New Testament — in lines it says are a hundred times thinner than a hair, inlaid rather than glued. • Huggie hoops sized as a system, Tiny through Super Chunky, most styles listed to the millimetre. The brand specifies 316L stainless under an 18K gold PVD coating. • Officially licensed anime and manga jewelry — every listing in that line prints its licensor's copyright notice.

THEN THE HOUSE • Ilala-palm baskets handwoven in Zimbabwe, first made for winnowing grain, now hung as wall art. A nest basket of Madagascan vetiver grass you spritz to wake the scent. • Hide rugs from Patagonia, Argentina: 5mm hair-on-hide worked into patchwork, or shearling cut to two pile heights, a low 1" ground against a 3" motif. Some made to your size, some from stock. • 600 GSM Australian-cotton towels with a 1.0 cm pile. Robes in Turkish peshtemal — flat-woven cloth rather than towelling, so it doesn't hang heavy when damp. Beeswax wrap made with Hawaiian beeswax and tree resin, as a 42-inch roll you cut to size.

The regimental emblems of a Basotho "Badges of the Brave" blanket. • A face balm of 100% grass-fed bison tallow with manuka honey the maker certifies at 850+ MGO. Tooth powder whose hydroxyapatite comes from powdered grass-fed cattle bone. • Brigadeiros hand-rolled by a Brazilian confectioner: beijinho, the coconut one; Romeo & Juliet, after the guava-and-cheese pairing.
