It reads brand names, barcodes — even what the package calls itself: "laundry detergent", "pasta sauce", "sauce pour pâtes", 185+ product phrases in English and French — and recognizes shapes, taking a second, closer look at the object it spots. An on-device AI recognition model that knows 1,000 object types helps with things that have no label at all — shoes, pans, phones, produce — and a live engine indicator shows exactly what's working: shapes · text · barcode · AI. Live coaching guides you as it goes ("move closer", "reading text — hold steady", "got it"), with an aiming guide, tap-to-focus, pinch-to-zoom, a flashlight for dark cupboards, and a quick buzz when the scan is done. Everything happens on your phone: frames are analyzed in memory and immediately discarded, never recorded or uploaded. Still ambiguous (the box or the tube? the bag or leftover food?) — one tap settles it.
