Daqee Desk is a local-first work manager built for people running their own show. Freelancers, indie consultants, single-founder studios, side-project operators — anyone who juggles a handful of clients and refuses to let their work sprawl across five different apps.

WHAT'S INSIDE

• Dashboard — today's tasks, upcoming receivables, running timers, monthly KPIs and recent activity, all on one screen you open before your first coffee.

• Snippets — a dedicated scratchpad for the notes that never make it into a folder. Multi-tab, searchable, promotable into full Notes when they earn it.

• Notes — Markdown editor with backlinks, tables, code blocks and attachments. Every note can link to a customer, project, task or ledger, and every entity shows who references it.

• Tasks — smart filters (Today, Tomorrow, This Week, Overdue, High Priority) plus grouping by project, customer or your own custom groups. Recurring rules that carry their reminders forward correctly, every time.

• Calendar — tasks, planned receipts, contract milestones, asset expiries and dated notes rendered together on one timeline. Colour-coded so you can spot the busy weeks at a glance.

• Customers — the full picture per client: contact, linked projects, receipts, expenses, invoices, notes, attachments, recent activity.

• Projects — every schedule, task, payment plan, expense, milestone and invoice attached to the project that generated them. Profit auto-recalculates as you log money.

• Ledgers — personal or joint accounts for multi-partner scenarios. Transfers between ledgers, per-project breakdowns, monthly nets, statement export. Balances always recomputed from transactions — nothing to fudge.

• Finance — receipts, expenses and invoices in one place. Every entry flows into project profit and the linked ledger. Statement export as CSV.

• Vault — an AES-256 encrypted store for passwords, keys and sensitive notes. Separate password from the app passcode. Auto-locks when idle.

LOCAL-FIRST BY DESIGN

• Your business data lives on your device. We don't operate servers that hold it. • Optional iCloud sync keeps Mac and iPad in step through your Apple ID — we never see the data going through. • No analytics. No tracking. No third-party SDKs. • Startup passcode with Touch ID / Face ID / Optic ID. One-click Lock Now (⌘L) for screen-sharing peace of mind. • Auto-lock after idle, after system sleep, or after the display turns off. • Daily backups you can export as a single ZIP and restore on any Mac or iPad.

WORKS ON MAC AND iPad

• Native SwiftUI on both. Same data, same layout language, same keyboard shortcuts where sensible. • Mac: sidebar navigation, ⌘1-8 to jump modules, ⌘N to create, ⌘F to search, ⌘L to lock, ⌘. to toggle privacy mode. • iPad: horizontal three-pane layouts (sidebar + list + detail) that treat the 13-inch as a real work surface, not a scaled-up phone.

FREE TO START

• Free forever with a soft cap of 10 customers and 20 projects. Every feature is included. • Yearly subscription or a one-time Lifetime purchase unlocks the caps. Existing data always stays readable and exportable — even after a subscription lapses.

PRIVACY

We do not have accounts. There is nothing to sign up for. The optional iCloud sync uses Apple's private CloudKit database — Apple's ToS, Apple's encryption, we can't decrypt it. Full policy at https://daqee.app/privacy.
