Remsy: Lock Screen Reminders

Remsy is a reminder app. You can set a reminder for a part of the day instead of an exact time.

Pick morning, afternoon, evening, night, or anytime. Remsy picks a minute inside that window for you and keeps it on a round number, so you get 7:00 rather than 7:03. If you want an exact time you can set one, down to the minute.

Reminders fire once. If you miss one it stays in your list until you finish it, move it, or delete it. It won't notify you again, and nothing turns red.

Repeats (Remsy Plus)

Pick a number and a unit: minutes, hours, weeks, months, or years. There's also a plain Every day.

Minutes and hours run around the clock rather than inside a part of the day, which is useful for medication. Set one for 9pm every four hours and it goes off at 9pm, 1am, 5am, 9am, and so on.

If you miss one, the card keeps showing the occurrence you missed instead of skipping ahead to the next one.

You can pause a repeat until a date you pick. It starts again on its own, on the same schedule as before.

Someday

For things with no date yet. Remsy picks a day 15 to 90 days out. The day is different for each item, so if you save ten things in one sitting they come back spread out instead of all on the same afternoon. After that it works like any other reminder.

You can also share a link into Remsy from another app. Those don't have a date either, so they go to Someday too.

Sound and Focus

These are two separate settings. One decides whether the reminder makes a sound. The other decides whether it comes through Focus or Do Not Disturb. They work independently, so a silent reminder can still come through Focus.

Silent only means no sound. The reminder still shows up on your lock screen.

Nothing is marked urgent automatically. That part is always your choice.

Palettes and languages

19 palettes, light and dark. Porcelain and Midnight are free, the rest come with Remsy Plus. Each one is checked for contrast, so text stays readable in all of them.

English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese.

Privacy

No account, no sign-in, no server. Your reminders stay on your phone. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

The only thing Remsy connects to is RevenueCat, to check whether Remsy Plus is active. It sends an anonymous ID and your store receipt, nothing else.

Backup

You can back up everything to a file: your reminders, your archive, and your settings, including your palette, language, and the times you've set for each part of the day.

Remsy hands the file to the normal share sheet, so it can go wherever you want it. Save it to Files, AirDrop it, mail it to yourself, or drop it into whatever app you use to send yourself things.

To restore, open the file in Remsy. It asks you to confirm first, then puts everything back. Same phone or a new one, either way. There's no account and nothing to sign into, it's just a file you keep.
