NEON LIFE // PROTOCOL turns Conway's Game of Life into a head-to-head strategy game. You command the cyan colony; a magenta AI swarm commands the other. Whoever's cells dominate the board when the dust settles wins.

HOW IT PLAYS

Deploy phase: spend energy to stamp classic Life patterns near your own cells. BLOCK never dies and holds a node forever. GLIDER and LWSS crawl across the board on their own. R-PENT drops in as a controlled explosion of chaos. You can also purge enemy cells within range - that costs energy too.

Evolution phase: run 8 generations of real Conway's Game of Life with one tap. The twist that decides every match: newborn cells inherit the color of the majority among their three parent cells. A numbers advantage snowballs along the front line - a good placement might not pay off for several generations.

Energy nodes: five golden rings are scattered across the map. Whichever side has more cells nearby controls the node and earns bonus energy every round. Fight for the nodes, or fight for raw numbers - every match forces the choice.

Win by wiping out the enemy colony, or by leading in population after 20 rounds.

LOOK AND SOUND

A genuine neon aesthetic - bloom, scanlines, vignette, particle bursts where the two colors collide - scored with an original synthwave soundtrack composed for the game.
