Garden tracker and journal Add the plants you are growing, log your harvests, and keep a running history of your garden year over year. HomeSown sends watering reminders that follow your local weather, and credits recent rain so it never tells you to water beds the sky already watered.

Plot planner Design your beds visually, place plants to scale, and get warnings about spacing, sun, and good or bad plant neighbors as you plan.

Planting calendar Get frost-aware reminders for when to start seeds indoors, plant outside, and expect your first harvest, based on your local zip code and USDA zone.

Premium features (requires a paid subscription) Some features require HomeSown Premium, a paid auto-renewing subscription. Premium includes: all AI features (GardenBot chat; the AI Camera for plant, weed, pest, and disease identification; pest and disease action plans; and recipe generation from your harvest); the Plot Planner's Auto-arrange, which lays out your bed for you; and unlimited plants. On the free version, My Garden holds up to 10 plants and the Plot Planner holds up to 10 varieties, and Premium removes both limits.

HomeSown Premium costs 4.99 USD per month or 49.99 USD per year, with a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. Payment is charged to your account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel anytime in your account settings.

The rest of HomeSown is free to use. Only the features listed under Premium above (the AI features, Auto-arrange, and unlimited plants beyond the free limits) require a paid subscription. Currently available in the United States.
