Features & Capabilities

Where the Sun is, and how your daylight is changing — golden hour, time travel through the year, and widgets. Precise, beautiful, and computed on your device.

Meridian is a single, beautiful screen that shows you exactly where the Sun is right now — and tells you the story of how your daylight is changing through the year.

Two facts, fused into one calm, glanceable experience:

• Where the Sun is — its height and direction in your sky, right now, from your real location. • How your daylight is trending — the smooth wave of daylight hours across the year, and how fast it's changing today.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Right Now A living arc of the Sun's path, with the marker exactly where the Sun is at this moment — tall in summer, shallow in winter, dipping below the horizon at night. Today's daylight length, the change versus yesterday, and a countdown to the next sunrise or sunset. Underneath, today's weather: what it's doing now, and the high and low. Tap for height, direction, solar noon, and golden hour.

This Year The whole year drawn against the clock — daylight stacked over the night, with civil, nautical and astronomical twilight layered either side, so you can watch your sunrise and sunset march across the months. A faint line traces solar noon, the moment the Sun is genuinely highest, which is almost never twelve o'clock. A plain-English read on today's pace, and a countdown to the next solstice or equinox.

The Moon After dark the Moon rides the night sky at its real position and phase — the true lunar face, lit exactly as it is tonight, the right way up for your hemisphere. Moonrise, moonset, how much is lit, and the next full and new.

Golden hour & twilight The warm golden hour and deep blue hour, plus civil, nautical and astronomical twilight — first light to last light, computed for wherever you are, and named on the main screen the moment you're in one.

Your place, explained A latitude ruler shows where you sit between the tropics and the poles, and the seasonal swing that follows. Save other cities and check their skies at a glance.

Elsewhen — travel through time Drag the Sun along its arc, or scroll a precise ruler by hour, day or month, to see the sky at any moment — sunrise last winter, the next solstice, this day a year from now.

Widgets Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets with today's daylight, the trend, and where the Sun is.

REAL ASTRONOMY, TOTALLY PRIVATE

Every position and time is computed on your device using the standard NOAA/Meeus solar algorithms — accurate to well under a minute, checked against published almanac values from the tropics to the poles. No accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing about you is ever sent to us.
