Photos Are Fightable Creatures
Photograph a creature and it takes the field. Real photos become fighters with stats, types, and moves. Battle friends, discover new species, climb the standings.
Photograph a dog on the corner, a fern in the shade, a very committed boulder. The darkroom develops your photo into a creature with real stats, moves, and a type. Then it takes the field.
Beasts of the Field is a creature-collection RPG played with a camera. Your photographs are the creatures: the background lifts away, and what you saw is what you battle with.
EVERY SPECIES BEGINS WITH SOMEBODY'S PHOTOGRAPH
There is no bestiary written in advance. The first player ever to photograph a red fox mints the Red Fox for everyone, under its real name, and is recorded forever as its discoverer. Rare finds in the real world become rare species in the
game. The world's index grows one photograph at a time, and new finds earn the "New to Science" stamp.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHS FIGHT
Turn-based battles with six stats, four moves, and ten types tangled in a web: Beast, Flora, Mineral, Avian, Aqua, Fire, Electric, Machine, Bug, and Art. Every type bests two and fears two, some creatures carry two types at once, and every
bout plays out fully animated on painted backdrops, with impact bursts, damage numbers, and KO tumbles.
• PRACTICE with Lord Beastmont, inventor of the beast-capturing field camera, who hosts your training bouts.
• MARCH THE WILDS: a solo campaign across ten regions and three hundred trainers, from The Field to the Cliffs of Airion. Fixed levels, real stakes, a rival who won't quit, and Ambushers waiting on the trail.
• CHALLENGE FRIENDS in relaxed asynchronous matches. Add friends by handle or by scanning their Field Mark. Their creatures are their photographs too.
• SPAR your own creatures against each other and settle "which of mine would win" once and for all.
• FACE THE BEAST MASTERS: ten leaders whose teams are drawn from the world's real species registry.
A JOURNAL FULL OF BEASTS
The whole app is a naturalist's field journal: warm paper, typewriter stamps, wax seals. Every specimen gets its own plate with stats, hidden genes, moves, and the story of its capture. The Field Atlas maps where you found everything. The
Field Index registers every species you've recorded or merely sighted. And in the Paddock, your creatures roam a drawn diorama. Visit daily, pet your favorites, and collect whatever the crew digs up.
RAISE YOUR ROSTER
Creatures level up through battle, candy, and merging duplicates. They learn moves as they grow, from a roster of over 350, and no two creatures of the same type learn quite the same kit. Teach premium moves from sealed Vade Mecum manuals,
feed stat candy for permanent gains, and build a lineup of six.
CLIMB THE STANDINGS
Renown measures your record as a naturalist: creatures developed, species discovered, matches won, masters bested. Check the worldwide board, compare with friends, and collect commendation stamps on your Naturalist's Card.
NOTES FROM THE FIELD OFFICE
Beasts of the Field is free to download and play, with one free develop each day. Lord Beastmont posts three field assignments a day, with wages for the diligent. Optional memberships and supply packs add more.
If you can frame it, it counts. Bring us your first, and we shall have a bout.
