steep: cafe & bar guide

Find the right place for this moment.

steep is a global cafe and bar guide, written and reviewed by one person who drinks too much coffee and too much wine in too many cities. Every venue is visited and paid for out of pocket. No one pays to be featured. No one pays to be ranked higher.

THE STEEP INDEX Every review is scored across five axes: quality (coffee or drink), atmosphere, solo-friendliness, value, and staying power. One overall score. No stars, no vague vibes, just an honest breakdown of what you're walking into.

PERFECT FOR Every venue is tagged for the moment you're actually in: working alone, a first date, a slow weekend, people watching, no laptops, an espresso pilgrimage. Filter by what you need right now, not just by neighborhood.

WHAT'S INCLUDED, FREE Sign in with a one-time email code (no password) and get full access to every review, city guide, interactive map, curated itinerary, and PDF city guide. Save places, mark them visited, and leave yourself notes. None of this is paywalled.

35 CITIES Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Chiba, Taipei, Bangkok, Seoul, Lisbon, Porto, Melbourne, New York, Stockholm, Oslo, Granada, San Sebastian, Madrid, Helsinki, Tallinn, Edinburgh, and more added regularly.

BUILD A DAY Pick a city, a time of day, and a vibe. Get a walkable route built from real reviews, not a generic list.

Built for people who care where they end up, not just what's nearby.
