Golf notebook in your pocket
Lesson Logger
Your golf development, in your pocket.
Lesson Logger is designed for golfers who want to get more from their lessons, practise with purpose and keep track of the work they’re putting into their game.
Record coaching sessions, turn what you’ve been taught into a practice plan, log your practice and fitness, keep your club yardages close at hand and build a useful history of your development.
Whether you're working with a coach, grinding on the range, putting in work away from the course or simply trying to remember what you were told in your last lesson, Lesson Logger keeps it together.
Lessons
Record coaching sessions, lesson notes and key takeaways. Track the areas of your game you’re working on and build a history of your coaching over time.
Practice
Turn lesson takeaways into Practice Prescriptions and add them to your own Practice Plan.
Keep track of what you’ve been asked to work on, log practice against those prescriptions and see how many times you’ve worked on each area.
You can also log independent practice sessions, including the areas worked on, drills, thoughts and observations.
Fitness
Golf improvement doesn’t stop at the range.
Log strength, mobility, cardio, core, recovery, HIIT, yoga, Pilates, padel and other fitness sessions. Record duration, intensity and focus areas to build a picture of the work supporting your golf away from the course.
Upcoming
Plan future lessons and coaching sessions, add them to your calendar and turn an upcoming session into a completed lesson when the time comes.
Places
Keep useful information about the places connected to your golf.
Save golf clubs, driving ranges, simulators, coaching facilities and other useful locations, along with addresses, contact details, websites, access information and your own notes.
Yardages
Your bag. Your numbers.
Load your ForeThought Yardage Book to keep your club distances available wherever you practise.
Review carry and total distances, see the progression through your bag and use gapping analysis to identify tight or oversized gaps between clubs.
You can also switch between different Yardage Books for different bags or setups.
Statistics
See the bigger picture behind your development.
Review your lesson activity, coaching history and the areas of your game receiving the most attention, with layouts designed for both iPhone and iPad.
Your data, your file
Lesson Logger is built around a portable JSON data file rather than locking your golf history inside the app.
Keep your Lesson Logger file in supported cloud storage such as iCloud Drive or Google Drive, making it possible to keep working with the same data across your devices and supported platforms.
Lesson Logger is intentionally focused.
It isn't a scorecard, GPS course map or another app trying to analyse every shot you hit. It's about learning, practising what you've been taught and capturing the information that helps you improve.
From your first coaching session to a structured practice plan, gym session or a quick check of your yardages before hitting balls, Lesson Logger keeps the useful stuff from disappearing into notebooks, screenshots, messages and scraps of paper.
