Lunar Patrol is a love letter to the golden-age moon-buggy arcade run: drive, jump and shoot across a lunar surface that never runs out of ways to wreck you.

Craters in the road. Rocks and mines on it. Alien cars drifting into your lane, alien tanks lobbing aimed shells, and saucers overhead — some drop bombs, some dig fresh craters right where you were about to drive. Even the plants are out to get you.

THE RUN • 100 levels, each a fixed stretch of moon. Your best time for every level is saved — the real game is racing yourself. • Speed is a weapon: latch the accelerator to fly over gaps, feather the brake to line up a shot. • The buggy jumps — and jumps again: up to three mid-air hops to stretch an arc when the landing looks bad. • Two guns at once: a forward laser for what's ahead, a mortar for what's above. Sharp shooters can blast enemy bombs and shells right out of the air. • Three buggies per run, a persistent high score, and a Game Center leaderboard.

DEMO MODE — NEW Leave the title screen idle and the game plays itself through a late-game level, so you can see what's coming. Tap anytime to take the wheel.
