Silent Prayer is a small, quiet companion for the prayer of silence, in the tradition of centering prayer.

There is nothing to achieve here. You choose a word, set a length of time, and sit. A gentle bell opens and closes the silence. When your mind wanders, your word is simply a way to return. No words, no performance, just space to be still and present with God.

HOW IT WORKS

Choose a sacred word. Pick from a few suggestions like Peace, Abba, or Be still, or enter your own. Your words are yours to edit, reorder, and keep.

Set your time. Anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes. Begin where you are.

Choose your bell. A singing bowl, a chime, a low gong, or silence marked by a gentle vibration. It opens and closes your prayer.

Settle, if you like. An optional breath leads you in before the silence begins.

Rest in the quiet. A calm screen holds your word and the time, so you can close your eyes and let go.

Land gently. Afterward, a soft reflection asks how it was. Nothing is graded. The time was never wasted.
