TechGuard is the field companion for professional security officers and lone workers. Organisation-linked guards can clock in with verifiable photo proof, run patrols with checkpoint scans, report incidents in seconds, and send panic alarms to their control room. Personal Mode gives users without an organisation an on-device safety timer, emergency contacts, logbook and incident record.

CLOCK IN / OUT WITH PROOF • One-tap clock-in captures a single stamped photo with GPS location, address, time, and a tamper-evident proof code. • Accurate timesheets you can export to CSV.

PATROLS & CHECKPOINTS • Follow assigned routes and scan checkpoint QR codes to confirm your presence. • Attach photo and video evidence to each patrol.

INCIDENT REPORTING • Log theft, damage, trespass, hazards and more — with category, description, location and photos. • Link incidents to recent alarms for a complete record.

PANIC ALARM (SOS) • Hold for 3 seconds to alert your control room when a data connection is available, with your location attached. • Haptic and on-screen confirmation so you know the alert was sent. • If TechGuard cannot send the alarm, it clearly says the control room was not alerted and offers a user-directed call or pre-filled SMS fallback.

WELFARE CHECKS • Stay safe with scheduled welfare checks and reminders, delivered as push notifications even when the app is closed. • Get alerted if a shift runs into overtime.

FIELD-READY OFFLINE WORK • Start and run your whole shift with no signal — clock-ins, clock-outs and patrol photos queue automatically and sync the moment you reconnect. • Control-room panic alarms are not queued: they require a live data connection, with call/SMS fallback when unavailable.

DEVICE READINESS • At clock-in/out, patrol, welfare and alarm actions, TechGuard can report the phone's last-known battery, charging, network and pending-sync state to authorised control-room staff. • The status is sampled only at those duty actions, never continuously or in the background, and always shown with its age.

BUILT FOR THE FIELD • Biometric / passcode app lock keeps shift, patrol and incident data private. • Manage your active sessions and sign out remotely. • Light and dark themes; large touch targets and a mobile-first layout.

PERMISSIONS • Camera — capture proof photos and video, and scan checkpoint codes. • Location (while in use) — stamp proof with an accurate site address and, while on shift, warm the next foreground location fix. Off shift, location is used only for an action the guard deliberately starts, such as proof capture, clock-in or panic alarm. TechGuard does not request background location or track the guard when the app is closed. • Photo library — save a local copy of your evidence. • Notifications — welfare check reminders, overtime and shift alerts. • Face ID — unlock the app.

PERSONAL MODE • Users without an organisation can maintain an on-device logbook, safety timer and manually entered emergency contacts. • Personal Mode records stay on that device and are not uploaded to an organisation.
