Build foundations in Hiragana and Katakana, then follow the N5 Journey Map across nine routes and 156 learning hexes. Practise vocabulary, grammar, reading, listening and sentence patterns, and return to earlier material through spaced repetition and question review.

Read 37 graded books in the release library, look up words in the built-in dictionary, and track lesson progress, mastery, goals and achievements. This release focuses on N5; later map routes remain hidden.

Learning content is bundled for offline study. Some lessons include recorded audio; system speech is used where recordings are unavailable. Subscriptions, advertising and iCloud sync require the relevant online services.

Supported progress and settings can sync through your private iCloud database. Imported reading text and profile images stay on your device.

Journey+ is an optional monthly subscription. Eligible free users may see consent-gated advertising; required advertising privacy choices are available in Settings. Purchases and restores use Apple’s App Store.
