Your neighborhood your turf
Territor.io turns a run into a land grab.
Close a loop on your route and the ground inside it becomes yours: painted in your color on a live map and worth points on the board. Run a bigger, smarter loop than your friends and you take theirs. Lost ground? Run it again and take it back.
HOW IT WORKS
• Start a run. Territor.io tracks it with GPS and keeps tracking with the screen off. (Continued use of GPS in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.)
• Close a loop: circle back to where you started, or cross your own path. Any shape that encloses ground counts.
• Finish to watch your captured area light up.
• Already running with your Apple Watch? Turn on Apple Fitness sync in Settings (iOS) to bring those runs in automatically. They show up in your history and can be published to claim territory, just like runs you record in the app.
• Publish when you're ready. Nothing is shared until you do.
IT'S A TURF WAR
The newest loop to enclose a patch owns it. Your territory is always up for grabs, and so is everyone else's — the map never stops moving.
BRING YOUR RIVALS
Create a private group, invite friends with a link, and share a map and leaderboard that belong only to you. Or publish to the Global game and take your place on the world board.
RULES THAT CHANGE THE GAME
Each group's season picks which rules it plays by:
• Conditions: a hard run is worth more. Cold, heat, rain, snow, darkness and climbing all raise your multiplier, measured on our servers from where and when you actually ran.
• Milestones: points for distance covered, a bonus for every week of your streak, and permanent trophies for your first 5K, 10K, half and full marathon.
• Territory Decay: ground you don't re-run slowly fades and releases. Consistency beats one heroic land grab.
• Landmarks: bonus points for looping around parks, monuments, museums and capitols. Either everyone can claim each place once, or only the first runner there gets paid.
SEASONS AND TROPHIES
A group sets its own season length — monthly, quarterly, yearly, or open-ended. When a season closes, the top three take home permanent trophies, and the map opens as unclaimed ground. Every past season keeps its own frozen board and map.
SEE EXACTLY WHY YOU SCORED
Tap any score for a full breakdown: the ground you're holding, what each active rule added, and the total.
BUILT TO BE FAIR
Scoring rules are set by Territor.io, never by group owners, so nobody can tune the game in their own favor. Weather, elevation and daylight are looked up server-side, so nothing your phone reports can inflate a score. Runs at impossible speeds are rejected.
YOUR PRIVACY
A run stays private to you until you choose to publish it. Other players see your username, your color and the shape of the loops you've published but never your real name, email or photo. We don't store the raw point-by-point GPS trail of your run on our servers, only the boundary of the loop you claimed.
Lace up. The neighborhood is up for grabs.
