Most apps give you a wall of posters and call it a recommendation. PrimoReco asks a few quick questions and comes back with one film. If the first isn't right, there are up to two backups.

HOW IT DECIDES The pick comes from a deterministic engine that reads a catalog of nearly 50,000 films. Every film is scored on more than a hundred things: its story, how it feels, how it's made, and how it plays in the room. Whether it makes you anxious. How much attention it wants. Whether it works at 11pm with someone half-asleep on your shoulder. There's no black box, and nothing built to keep you scrolling.

WHERE TO WATCH, BUILT IN Every pick shows where it's streaming. Tell PrimoReco which services you pay for and it only suggests films you can actually watch. Flip one toggle to hide anything you've already seen.

BROWSE WHEN YOU WANT TO Sometimes you'd rather dig around yourself. Stack filters for genre, decade, mood, story, and craft until you've built the exact shelf in your head, then take it apart one piece at a time.

A PROFILE ABOUT TASTE Keep films. Mark what you've seen. Rate the ones that stayed with you and name your five favorites. React to a few divisive titles and the picks get sharper. It reads like a bookshelf, not an analytics page.

THE THINGS THAT DECIDE IT Audience, Rotten Tomatoes, and Metacritic scores when they exist. A trailer one tap away. A read on how a film lands: its warmth, its intensity, how much it asks of you. Content notes too, including what to know before watching with kids.
