WHY IT STICKS A spaced-repetition algorithm (FSRS) works out review timing card by card, from its own memory state. You rate yourself on instinct — "remembered" or "forgot" — and the interval stretches or contracts to match. Cards you keep forgetting are gently singled out, so you can go at them a different way. Attach an exam to a subject — school entrance exams, IGCSE, IELTS — and as the date nears, review of that subject tightens automatically, carrying what you know to exam day.
