A Hanglet is a plan or activity you create for others nearby to discover.

Tell people what you're planning to do, choose the location, set the time, add the details, and post it. Interested people can then request to join.

You decide who joins your Hanglet.

Instead of endlessly searching for people to talk to, Hanglet starts with something you actually want to do.

EXACT LOCATION HANGLETS

When creating a Hanglet, you can choose to share an exact location when the meeting place is important.

For example, if you're meeting at a café, park, mall, restaurant, or activity venue, you can select the exact place so people know where the Hanglet is happening.

APPROXIMATE LOCATION HANGLETS

Don't want to publicly show the exact location of your Hanglet?

Choose Approximate Location.

Instead of displaying the precise meeting point publicly, Hanglet shows an approximate area on the Discover map. Interested people can request to join based on your Hanglet and profile without needing to see your exact location first.

This gives you more control over how much location information you share publicly.

JOIN REQUESTS

See a Hanglet you'd like to join?

Send a request to the host.

Hosts can review interested participants and their profiles before deciding whether to accept or decline a request.

This means joining isn't automatically open to everyone — the host stays in control of their Hanglet.

PROFILES

Profiles help people understand who they're planning to meet.

Before accepting a request or requesting to join someone, you can view available profile information and make your own decision about whether the Hanglet feels right for you.

CHAT AFTER CONNECTING

Once connected through a Hanglet, use chat to coordinate the plan.

Confirm the time, discuss where to meet, ask questions, or handle any last-minute changes without having to move the conversation somewhere else.

SOCIAL POINTS

Hanglet uses Social Points to encourage genuine participation and help maintain integrity within the community.

You can earn Social Points through meaningful activity on Hanglet, including hosting Hanglets and participating in them.

Social Points provide additional context about a person's activity and participation on Hanglet.

PRIVACY WITH MORE CONTROL

Not every plan needs your precise location displayed publicly.

Hanglet's Exact and Approximate Location options give you control over how you create and discover Hanglets.

Use an exact meeting place when it makes sense, or choose an approximate area when you'd prefer additional location privacy.
