HealMetrics: Wound Care

HealMetrics is an independent wound assessment and documentation app built by a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP) — by a wound care provider, for wound care providers.

It does the essentials well: help you capture accurate, audit-ready wound documentation — assessments and procedure notes — at the bedside, fast. No accounts. No bloat. No feature you have to scroll past. Just what you need to chart a wound correctly and move on to the next patient.

WHAT IT DOES

• Photograph the wound with your iPhone and measure length and width by calibrating against a reference marker (a sticker or paper ruler of known size). Measurements are computed in centimeters with area.
• Measure depth with LiDAR on supported iPhones, or enter probe depth manually.
• Document the full assessment the way an auditor expects: tunneling and undermining by clock position, wound-bed tissue percentages, edges, periwound skin, exudate (amount, color, odor), pain on a 0–10 scale, and explicit infection indicators — including documenting their absence.
• Calculate scores: PUSH is computed automatically; BWAT (13-item) and WIfI for diabetic foot ulcers are a tap away.
• Track healing over time. Records are organized by patient, then by wound, then by date — with an area-trend chart and a before/after photo comparison slider.

DOCUMENT PROCEDURES

• Generate procedure notes at the point of care — skin substitute (cellular/tissue-based product) applications, wound debridement, negative-pressure wound therapy (wound VAC), low-frequency ultrasound, and biopsies/cultures.
• For skin substitute applications, scan the product/lot sticker to auto-fill the HCPCS Q-code, lot number, expiration, and graft size. Suggested CPT codes are offered from the wound's size and location for your review.
• Copy forward last week's graft note in one tap — just scan the new sticker.
• Every procedure attaches to the visit and exports together with the assessment as a single document.
• Track every skin-substitute application in a sortable Graft Log — by patient, date, or brand — for tissue tracking, with CSV export.
