Redacta – Redact for AI

Redact patient identifiers before they ever reach an AI assistant – entirely on your iPhone.

Clinicians and medical writers increasingly paste notes into ChatGPT and Claude. Redacta makes the safe version one tap away: it finds names, NHS numbers, dates of birth, record numbers, emails, phone numbers and addresses, and replaces them with neutral tokens like [NAME_1] and [NHS_NUMBER_1]. Nothing leaves your device.

HOW IT WORKS • Paste or type clinical text, choose a mode, and tap Redact • Copy the safe, tokenised text into any AI assistant • Keep the token map to put the real values back into the AI's reply

ON-DEVICE BY DESIGN • No network connection, no accounts, no analytics • Nothing is uploaded or stored – a truthful "Data Not Collected" • Token maps live in memory only and are never written to disk

THREE MODES • Clinical – NHS numbers (checksum-validated), names, dates of birth, record IDs • General PII – emails, phone numbers, postcodes, cards, addresses • HIPAA Safe Harbor – the strictest set, including every date and age
