About BiteLink

BiteLink is a companion app designed to monitor unattended fishing rods.

Working together with the BiteLink Sensor, the app monitors bite activity and rod status in real time. Voice notifications alert you to important events, so you don't need to keep watching your iPhone while fishing.

Key Features

Bite Detection

Detects subtle vibrations in your fishing rod caused by fish bites.

When a bite is detected, the app immediately announces it with a voice notification, allowing you to stay informed without constantly watching the screen.

Hand-Held Detection

Detects when you pick up the rod by recognizing changes in its orientation.

While the rod is being held, bite detection is temporarily suspended to help prevent false notifications during rod handling.

Hand-held detection can be enabled or disabled at any time.

Real-Time Sensor Monitoring and Detection Settings

View real-time sensor data in chart form for both Bite Detection and Hand-Held Detection modes.

Detection performance can be optimized for different fishing styles, rigs, and target species using the following settings:

• Sensor Sensitivity Adjust the sensor response from subtle vibrations to larger rod movements.

• Detection Threshold Fine-tune the threshold used to determine when a bite is detected, helping reduce false detections.

These settings allow the sensor to be optimized for a wide range of fishing conditions.

Bait Replacement Timer

Configure an independent bait replacement timer for each sensor.

When the timer expires, the app announces it with a voice notification, helping you remember the ideal time to replace your bait.

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

The app communicates directly with the BiteLink Sensor using Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE).

BLE provides stable communication with low power consumption.

Bridge Mode (Extended Range)

By default, the app connects directly to sensors via BLE.

When longer communication distances are required, Bridge Mode allows communication over Wi-Fi.

One BiteLink Sensor can be configured as a bridge, relaying data between your iPhone and other sensors.

Example:

iPhone ← BLE → Bridge Sensor ← Wi-Fi → Sensor

This configuration provides greater flexibility when placing sensors.

Communication range depends on environmental conditions, installation location, obstacles, and Wi-Fi performance. Extended communication distance cannot be guaranteed.

Compatibility

This app is designed exclusively for the BiteLink Sensor.

It cannot connect to other Bluetooth devices.

Privacy

• No personal information is collected. • No advertising or tracking is used. • Settings are stored only on your device. • No data is transmitted externally except communication with BiteLink Sensors.
