Strike Zone puts a bat in your hands. A pitcher winds up, the ball comes in, and it is on you to read it, time it, and hit it. Tap for a line drive, swipe up to lift a fly ball, swipe down to chop a grounder — and where you stand in the batter's box changes which pitches you can reach.

TWO WAYS TO PLAY • Home Run Derby — ten outs, swing for the fences, chase your longest shot and your best total. • Play Ball — a nine-inning game. You bat in the bottom of every inning; the Away team answers in the top.

A REAL PITCHER Fastball, curveball, slider, changeup, sinker, cutter, splitter, knuckleball. Every pitch shows its name and speed after it crosses the plate, so you learn to read what is coming.

THREE DIFFICULTY LEVELS Rookie throws slow pitches in the zone with a big sweet spot. Pro throws real speed with a fair window. All-Star is fast, with movement that breaks late. A timing ring shrinks onto the ball and turns green when your swing will connect.

NINE PLAYERS IN THE FIELD Hit it and the camera cuts to the fielder responsible — the shortstop scoops the grounder, the left fielder tracks down the fly ball, or the ball drops in for a hit. Home runs stay on the batter's view so you can watch it clear the fence with fireworks.
