ALWAYS READY Recording waits for your first note, so files have no empty lead-in. Auto-stop ends the take when you stop playing. You don't fight the app — you just play, and the take is there.

Or turn any of it off: every automation is optional, and the app adapts to your workflow rather than the other way around.

WHY I MADE THIS I'm a developer and a musician who improvises often. I got tired of losing good ideas to forgotten moments, so I built MIDI Recorder for myself. I use it every day and keep developing it.

That's also why every feature is free, and will stay free. An optional in-app purchase removes the ad banner, but no functionality is ever locked behind a paywall — not now, not later.

REQUIREMENTS • iOS 16 or newer • A BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) MIDI device or a USB MIDI device (most modern digital keyboards)
