The built-in iPhone camera is excellent at making quick decisions, and for everyday shooting that convenience is hard to beat. Honesmith Optics isn’t here to replace it.

When you’re shooting against the light, working close, photographing small subjects, or using an external lens, changing focus doesn’t have to mean giving up the exposure you intended. EV compensation lets you make the final adjustment on your terms.

Take over focus when precision matters.

Switch to MF and make fine adjustments with the focus control. When you need a closer look, use magnification and Focus Assist to judge detail more carefully.

Honesmith Optics isn’t designed to turn your phone into a cockpit full of controls. It puts the controls that matter within reach when you need them.

RAW should be clear about what you’re actually capturing.

On supported iPhone and lens configurations, Bayer RAW works with P/S/M and saves as DNG.

Apple ProRAW is available in P. In S/M, Honesmith Optics clearly shows that ProRAW is unavailable instead of silently switching you to another RAW format.

And when you ask for RAW, a failed RAW capture isn’t quietly presented as a successful HEIF or JPEG instead.

You don’t have to take over everything at once.

Use P/S/M as the shot requires, and adjust ISO, shutter speed, white balance, AF/MF, exposure compensation, and metering independently. You’ll also find capture formats, aspect ratios, timers, Memory, Profiles, Recipes, and higher-resolution photo and 4K video options on supported devices.

Keep it simple when you want speed. Take over when you want more control.

Your photos don’t need to come to us first.

Honesmith Optics requires no Honesmith account, includes no ads or usage analytics, and keeps core photo, video, and RAW processing on the device. Diagnostic reports are created only when you explicitly request them and are not uploaded automatically.

Some advanced features are unlocked through one-time in-app purchases. There is no subscription. Availability depends on your iPhone, physical lens, iOS version, and current capture format.
