Identify any rock, mineral, or crystal in seconds. RockLens names the likely match with a confidence indicator, then opens a profile: common and mineral names, group, color and luster, Mohs hardness, crystal system, and how the stone formed (igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic, or hydrothermal). From a roadside pebble to an amethyst geode, you know what you found.

Read it like a geologist. Each profile breaks down the diagnostic traits geologists use — hardness, streak, cleavage and fracture, crystal habit, and luster — so you tell quartz from calcite, or granite from gneiss.

Tell natural from imitation. Many tumbled "crystals" sold today are dyed, reconstituted, or lab-grown glass. RockLens explains the visual clues that separate a natural mineral from an imitation — bubbles, dye pooled in cracks, suspiciously perfect color — as a learning tool. When confidence is low, it says so.

PRIVACY YOU CAN UNDERSTAND Your collection, history, and preferences are stored on your device. There are no accounts and no third-party trackers or advertising SDKs. When online recognition is enabled, the scanned photo is sent securely to our recognition service to look up the specimen, is not retained afterward, and is never used for ads or tracking.
