GPS Altimeter & Travel Journal
Launch offer: build a private atlas from live elevations or geotagged photos. Works offline with no account, ads, or subscription. Full Version is a one-time purchase.
Some places deserve to be remembered by elevation.
What is Heightmark?
Heightmark is a private iPhone elevation journal and travel atlas. Record the elevation where you are standing, or recreate a mark from one geotagged photo. Each mark can keep its place, coordinates, time, optional photo, and note in an atlas only you can see.
Who is Heightmark for?
· Travelers, hikers, climbers, and photographers who want to remember where they stood
· People who prefer a private place collection to a social feed or competitive fitness tracker
· Anyone who wants to revisit highs, lows, cities, photos, and notes on one vertical scale
How do I record an elevation?
· Record the elevation, coordinates, place, and time supplied by iPhone Location Services
· See the current vertical-accuracy estimate instead of a falsely precise number
· Recreate a past place and elevation from one geotagged photo
· Add an optional photo and note to any mark
· Record and browse offline; an internet connection can improve place-name lookup
How does Heightmark organize my places?
· Sort your private atlas by elevation or date
· Compare marks with familiar landmarks, from the Eiffel Tower to Mount Fuji and Everest
· See every high and low on a true-scale elevation panorama
· Revisit your cities, elevation bands, achievement badges, and anniversary memories
What can I share?
· Create an elevation card, a ten-place Collection Card, or an Atlas report
· Export your elevation panorama as a single tall image
· Choose from Dark, Light, Gilded, Starlit, Blueprint, Alpine, Ticket, Stamp, and more
Does Heightmark record routes or workouts?
No. Heightmark saves individual elevation marks. It does not continuously record a route, calculate elevation gain, or track workout statistics.
Where is my data stored?
· Marks, coordinates, photos, and notes stay in the app’s on-device sandbox; the developer does not receive or collect them
· No account, ads, third-party analytics, behavioral tracking, or developer-operated cloud sync
· Apple device or iCloud backups may include app data according to your system settings
Which languages and units are supported?
· English and Simplified Chinese; Heightmark follows the system language by default and can also be switched in the app
· Elevation is shown in meters
Can I use Heightmark for free?
Yes. You can keep recording marks for free. The free version adds up to 10 marks to your atlas. Marks beyond that are still saved — they wait in a Not in Atlas list, and a one-time Full Version purchase adds every one of them to your atlas and panorama, plus every premium sharing template. Never a subscription.
Is Heightmark a professional surveying tool?
No. Heightmark displays the elevation and vertical-accuracy estimate supplied by iPhone Location Services. Accuracy varies with the device and surroundings. Retake important readings under open sky, and do not use Heightmark as a replacement for professional surveying or safety equipment.
