A NOTE ON SAFETY PatternScope TV is a diagnostic tool, not a repair tool: it helps you find display problems but cannot repair burn-in, dead pixels, or other permanent panel defects. Some patterns display bright, sustained fields, and one optional Motion test (the Flicker Helper) deliberately flashes. The flashing test is capped at a low rate, starts paused, shows a photosensitivity warning, honors the system "Reduce Flashing" setting, and is excluded from the guided workflows. If you — or anyone who can see the screen — have photosensitive epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing light, do not use the deliberately flashing test.
