Barakah is a private, Arabic-first companion for daily worship — accurate prayer times, an adhan that rings as an alarm, the Qur'an with audio, a Qibla compass, adhkar and du'as, the Hijri calendar, Zakat and more, all computed on your device with no account and no tracking.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything is computed on your device — no account, no tracking, nothing collected by us (the in-app Privacy Report lists the optional calls) • Core features work offline — prayer times, the Qibla, adhkar and the calendar need no connection • Your location is used only to calculate prayer times and the Qibla, and it stays on your device — the one exception is nearby mosque search, which sends only your approximate area (rounded to about 1 km) when you tap to search

THE ADHAN AS AN ALARM — EVEN WHEN THE APP IS CLOSED • The adhan rings like a real alarm, not a notification that’s easy to miss • On iOS 26 and later, with your permission, the adhan rings as a system alarm — it sounds even when Barakah is closed and even when your phone is on silent or in a Focus mode, and it keeps calling until you dismiss it • On earlier iOS versions the adhan still plays as an audible prayer notification • Choose a different sound for each prayer — the adhan for Fajr and Maghrib, a gentle chime for Dhuhr, silent for Isha — and pick between two muezzin voices

REMINDERS THAT DON'T STOP • Your prayer reminders keep arriving even if you don't open Barakah for days — a background refresh tops them up so they never quietly run out • Optional reminders for Qiyam and Tahajjud (the last third of the night), suhoor/imsak and iftar in Ramadan, sunnah fasts (Mondays and Thursdays, the White Days, Ashura and Arafah), Islamic dates and events, and morning and evening adhkar • Every reminder is opt-in and configurable

PRAYER TIMES & TRACKING • Accurate times for Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha • Multiple calculation methods (Umm al-Qura, Muslim World League, Egyptian, ISNA, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, and more) • Shafii and Hanafi options for Asr • Next-prayer countdown and the Qiyam (last third of the night) • Track your daily prayers and build a streak
