I originally created this app for my wife after I noticed that she was making grocery lists for our home every day in the Notes app.

Every time, she either started a new list from scratch or edited an old one, manually adding new items and removing the ones she no longer needed. Day after day, I watched her go through the same routine until one day I decided to find her an app with a ready-made catalog where she could create lists on the fly just by typing the first few letters and quickly check off purchases right there in the supermarket.

But that turned out to be harder than I expected, as the apps I found felt inconvenient and poorly designed, and their ready-made catalogs were either missing or too limited and impractical. So I decided to build my own app without those shortcomings. After a lot of hard work, the result was CheckList, a lightweight, easy-to-use, and thoughtfully designed checklist app with a catalog for groceries and everyday shopping.

But then my wife surprised me again. As we were getting ready for another trip, I found her making a packing list... and once again, she was doing it in Notes. And you can probably guess what happened next...
